Derek Handley is a New York-based social entrepreneur from New Zealand. He created Aera Foundation, a charitable studio investing in new companies and causes addressing social issues in innovative ways. Aera is a strategic partner of WEARETENZING.

Derek was Founding CEO of The B Team, co-founded with Sir Richard Branson to form a group of global business icons catalysing better ways of doing business for people and our planet. He has helped found multiple companies in digital media and technology, is a member of the Air New Zealand Sustainability Advisory Panel, an Adjunct Professor at AUT, and a director of Sky Television (NZX: SKT). Derek has been listed as one of the top 10 most influential social entrepreneurs on Twitter and is a former NZ EY Young Entrepreneur of the Year.



World Cup winning All Black Adam Thomson has been pivotal in helping shape WEARETENZING. A BPhEd combined with 15 years of professional sporting experience gives Adam world class expertise in sports management, leadership, and player welfare. Currently still playing at an elite level and with a background in multimedia he provides a diverse skillset and perspective across all divisions of WEARETENZING. Adam has played 10 years of Super Rugby for the Highlanders, Reds and Rebels. He is among only a handful of people to have won World Cup titles at every level – Under 19, Under 21, All Blacks 2011 and World Sevens Series. He is currently playing Top League based in Tokyo with the Canon Eagles.

David is the co-founder of MedCapital and the managing director of Strategy 360. He has an AGSM from the University of New South Wales, and is a Master of Taxation. His expertise are in tax, trusts, investments, and structures.

Ben is a graduate of the BPhEd Degree majoring in Sports Management from Otago University and is the founding Director of Orbit Sports Management. Ben really enjoys building personal relationships with his clients and prides himself on giving honest and supportive advice, to obtain the best options and solutions for clients.

Ben is committed to providing a proactive, holistic and professional service to all of his clients. Ben has been in sports management for 8 years and over that time he has built up experience in the areas of contract negotiations, sponsorship deals, player management and placement, having headed many International deals throughout the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.

Ben played rugby for a number of years in New Zealand and the UK; finishing his playing career in 2006. This puts Ben in an ideal position to understand the needs and demands of a modern day rugby player and give insightful and professional advice to suit their current situation.

Having worked in broadcast television for over 18 years, Haimona gained experience at all the major broadcasters here in New Zealand, including TVNZ, Mediaworks, SKYTV, and numerous advertising agencies and production companies.

Haimona’s background as a sponsored BMX rider for over 10 years gives him invaluable knowledge and insight into being able to work with professional sports athletes across a multitude of disciplines.

Some of these include Rugby, Skateboarding, MotoX, Freestyle MotoX, Rugby League, BMX racing and BMX freestyle, Basketball, Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Surfing, Kayaking, Drifting, Snowboarding, Skiing, and Skydiving.

Before spending recent years abroad managing major digital media campaigns in the online gaming space, Dan has worked extensively on the artist front within the film and music industry and has a strong financial background from his early years at KPMG Auckland. In addition to this, Dan has a Bcom-Finance and McomLaw(Hons) with a focus on Sports and Entertainment Law from Auckland University.
