Social Media Tips & Tricks
1. Your videos should be engaging right from the get go. Instagram tracks how long your followers are watching your stories and videos and from this decide where they should be placed on your follower’s feed. Obviously the longer they are watched the better they will be placed.
2. If you use a hashtag regularly make sure to also incorporate this into your stories when possible. Instagram makes it very easy to click on the hashtag and see the rest of your content. Therefore this could increase engagement on your other content.
3. As I have spoken about a lot in the past, having high activity on your post is not only key for engagement but also for where you are placed on the explore page. Therefore you should do everything you can to increase your posts activity. One simple way is to use insights to check when your followers are most active and then post accordingly.
Ricardo Back in the Top 10
Ricardo is back on track with a massive performance in the Vans Us Open.
Ric looked very strong throughout the whole event, regularly posting solid scores on his way to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, Ric was only able to get two scoring waves as the ocean went flat.
Now with his win at the Martinque pro and this 5th place finish he has jumped from 25th back in to the Top 10 currently sitting 9th overall.
With the WSL QT series now entering the second half of the season, Ric is now where he wants to be and with a few more solid performances he will go close to locking up his spot in next years WSL Championship tour.
Now, this is how you make the most of a weekend away.
And although this can seem very difficult, the majority of this content was filmed with a single GoPro and edited using iMovie a free software available on Mac.
From this weekend away Amber now has a pile of amazing content that she can continue to use over the next few months.
