Don’t forget if you or a fellow WeAreTENZING client you know has done something amazing, please let us know and we’ll try to get it in the next instalment.
Koru Care NZ
For those of you who don’t know what Koru Care NZ is, it’s a charitable trust that gives children who are unwell the chance to make their dreams come true.
Each year Air New Zealand take a bunch of these kids on a special chartered flight. This year they flew the path of a love heart over New Zealand.
This year Jess Quinn had the privilege of bringing her positive vibes on this flight. As many of you may have seen from her Instagram story the smiles this flight puts on the kids face definitely makes it worth it.
If you want to help this awesome cause in any way you can find more info at www.korucare.co.nz.
Silver Ferns Win Quad Series
Phoenix Karaka and the Silver Ferns have pulled off a massive upset defeating the Diamonds 57-47.
Due to their loss vs the England Roses, the Silver Ferns went into the match knowing that they would need to win by at least four to claim the series.
But the Silver Ferns made sure of that from the get go shooting out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter, a lead they never looked like losing.
A huge achievement for the team with this being their first series victory of Australia in 5 years. Well done girls!
Social Media Tips & Tricks
3. It’s important that your profile looks appealing as soon as a potential new follower clicks on it. Majority of people will look through a profile before deciding whether to follow it. Creating a theme can help to make your profile more appealing. Check out Amber Peebles Instagram for a great example.
Mitre 10 Cup
Another awesome week for our Mitre 10 Cup boys.
Otago got their season back on track with a win over Manawatu. It was a high scoring game and on the final whistle, Otago came away with an impressive 40-30 win with Sam Anderson-Heather crossing the line.
Dan Hawkins, Matt Wright, and the mighty Taniwhas have jumped back up the leader board with a big win away from home defeating Southland 44-13.
Inga Finau made the most of his time on the park for Canterbury scoring a try in his team’s victory over Hawkes Bay.
New Zealand 1st XV Top 4
St Kentigern 1st XV have now set up a semi final vs Jeriah Mua, Jordan Thompson-Dunn, Dennon Robinson and the Hasting Boys 1st XV after they took out the Hurricanes region with a dominant victory over St Patrick’s Silverstream College.
Both these teams have been clearly the top teams in their respective super regions but deciding a winner out of these two is too tough to call.
Best of luck to all our boys involved.
Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day is Cure Kids’ biggest annual appeal, aiming to raise $1 million for child health research.
Red Nose Day was launched last Thursday with our very own Patrick Tuipultou as the lead ambassador.
The event was amazing and it was awesome to see so many of the WeAreTENZING family along to support this wonderful cause.
This year Cure Kids have come up with an exciting challenge “Dare and Share”. This Red Nose Day Patrick Tuipulotu and others will be dyeing their hair or beard. Then sharing this on their social while challenging others. You can also set up your own fundraising a page and do your own “dare and share” to raise money for Red Nose Day.
