Courtney Gets Her Show
After ending a fantastic netball career with the Northern Stars and Silver Ferns Courtney Tairi quickly transitioned into a new found passion of hers, TV broadcasting.
Here Courtney has been able to show her incredible expert knowledge of a variety of sports as she quickly stamps her mark as one of New Zealand’s most promising broadcasters.
What may be surprising to many is that it is not netball where Courtney has had the biggest impact but instead rugby league. Growing up in Sydney Courtney is a very passionate rugby league fan which clearly comes through in her broadcasting.
Now she has teamed up with friend and ex-warriors legend Monty Betham to star in a new show on Sky Sports, The Kiwi League Show. Courtney and Monty spend a half hour discussing New Zealanders plying their trade in the NRL and Super League.
The first episode aired on Thursday and WOW what a great job she did. Courtney’s insight into Kiwis in the upcoming NRL season was awesome as she gave us a great idea of what to expect. For all those interested in rugby league or if you just want to see Courtney crush it I highly recommend you tuning into the next episode which airs 8:30 pm, Thursday on Sky Sport 2.
Don’t forget Courtney is a must follow for all sports fans on social media. She regularly provides a great insight into a wide variety of sports and if you have the time I highly recommend looking back at her Rugby League World Cup posts, her on-field experience with the Tongan team is amazing.
Congratulations on the new show Courtney, we all look forward to watching it throughout the season.
