Representing New Zealand at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Kayla competed alongside Jaimee Lovett, Caitlin Ryan and Aimee Fisher in the Women’s K4 500m event.  Since then she has won multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at World Cups. At her peak event being the World Championships, she won a Bronze medal for the K4 500m event in 2017 with Aimee, Caitlin and Lisa Carrington. Furthering those achievements in 2018 she won two Silver medals in both the K4 500m and K2 200m events.

In addition to Kayla’s canoeing accolades, Kayla is actively involved in Surf Lifesaving  and beach safety – representing New Zealand’s surf lifesaving team the Black Fins.

Off the water Kayla has a Bachelor of Science in marine biology, certificates in personal training and project management and loves to dabble in the odd beautician course.
