Tyla is known for having incredible footwork, speed, composure and leadership abilities on the field. Off the field, she is known for her infectious sense of humour and is a family first person.
Celebrating Maori language week Tyla partnered with Spark NZ to encourage Kiwis to learn Te Reo words. Promoting their new app – Kupu, Tyla was able to reconnect with her roots and practice her Te Reo Māori. This fun interactive mobile app allowed her to take a photo of an item, then it translated the item from English to Te Reo Māori.
As a proud Maori New Zealander, Tyla takes a deep sense of pride in wearing the silver fern outfit. She was honoured to be able to help promote and educate others on our nations heritage and language.
Tyla was able to feature in Spark NZ’s promotional video that went live on both her Facebook and Instagram accounts. The creative captivated her audience and proved successful results.
