Charlotte Bellis is a celebrated journalist with 15 years reporting from the world’s conflict zones. She made her first documentary for 60 Minutes on the Ebola crisis in West Africa, before gaining experience in New York, London and the Middle East with the BBC, Netflix and Al Jazeera.
In 2021, as Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Kabul, Charlotte gained worldwide attention for her in-depth coverage of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and her groundbreaking interview with the Taliban on women’s rights.
An exceptional MC and public speaker, Charlotte is based between New Zealand and Belgium with her partner, conflict photographer Jim Huylebroek, and their two children.
