Ruby Tui has done it again! Smashing the Rugby World Cup final and taking home the World Cup. Being awarded 15s Breakthrough Player of the Year at the World Rugby Awards. What can’t Ruby Tui do??
We started working with Ruby Tui back in 2017, we saw her potential from the start and knew there were big things for her in the future. Our goal from day one of working with Ruby was to nurture her incredible talents, create brand partnerships that align with her values and show the world just what an amazing person Ruby is.
Ruby Tui is not only an incredible rugby player but a seriously purposeful and authentic person, she truly embodies everything that we at WeAreTENZING strive to represent. As Ruby Tui’s Management team, we aim to give Ruby every opportunity to share with the world her incredible personality and skills. Ruby Tui’s agent, Dan Sing has managed Ruby since day one, for 6 years Dan and Ruby have worked together to partner with brands and social causes that align with Ruby and has helped to her to get to where she is today. In fact their bond is so strong that Dan’s children call Ruby “Aunty Rubes” and Ruby made a special shout-out to how Dan has changed her life on her Instagram.
Ruby only held her gold medal for a short time. Minutes after winning, Ruby gave her medal to recently recovered leukemia patient Lucia. 11-year-old Lucia and Ruby met at a fan event the week before the final and told Ruby that her dream was to be Ruby Tui. Lucia and her family attempted to return the medal to Ruby the day after the final but she wouldn’t accept it, rather she accepted Lucia’s player of the year trophy and one of her cancer survivor beads. At the World Rugby Awards, they awarded Ruby a replacement award. Do worry we’re making sure that she holds on to this one, she even bought it with her to the WeAreTENZING Christmas party so we could all take photos with it!
Ruby Tui’s agent Dan Sing helped Ruby to write and publish her book ‘Straight Up’. Dan encouraged Ruby to share her incredible life story with the world by turning her diaries into a book. This book had an overwhelming reception and sold out nationwide and worldwide. In fact, Ruby had to delay her book tour as they couldn’t get enough copies of Straight Up for her to sign on the tour.
